The TRANS BURN BOOK is an 8 pages long zine/game written as a submission for the TRANS RAGE JAM and meant to be played entirely by yourself.

It contains 6 pages of prompts and illustrations that will help you fill it with a representation of your anger and your own experiences led by a variety of questions, as well as a final prompt: to burn it or enjoy its destruction in any way you see fit.

Made as an art and graphic design project it is not only made to be looked at on your electronic devices but also to be easily printed out at home. It is available in a pocket sized DIN A7 sized booklet with easy crafting instructions and an A5 version to only be glued and stapled before use.

This zine/game is the first project I’ve made of this kind. It is fueled by my personal experiences and current home life as a trans person and the kind of repression and silent anger that come with it. As I’m first and foremost not a gamemaker but a media designer and someone with experience in graphic design and illustration I’ve decided to make the primary focus of this game the visual experience and feeling it conveys. Nevertheless, some questions I’ve worked out and decided to ask myself help to set the true mood. This piece is meant to possibly give a small moment of peace and catharsis for when you’re in a stressful place and the creation and final burning of it did something similar for me.

Give your anger shape and form and make sure it stays your own. I hope this does for you what it did for me too.
